Randall Robert Witter Sr., 70, of Granite City, IL, passed away Dec. 17, 2017. Visitation from 3 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. Friday (December 22nd) at GC First Assembly of God. Private burial at a later date.

Dean Wallen 1938-2017


Dean Wallen, 79, of Belleville, Illinois, born June 2, 1938, in Urbana, IL, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’ Fallon, Illinois.

Dean was a retired Teacher at Collinsville High School Unit 10. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church and St. Clair Township Trustee and Clerk for 22 years. Alumni of Lincoln College and received his Bachelor and Masters Degree from The University of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond G. Wallen and Marian nee, Smith, Wallen.

Surviving are his wife, Juanita, nee Gass, Wallen of Belleville, whom he married June 7, 1968; children, Nicolette (John) McCullough of Belleville, IL, SooJin Wallen and husband Erol Weber of Belleville, IL, and Herschel Wallen of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren, Justin Abegglen, Adam McCullough, Nicholas McCullough, Griffin Wallen, Theodore Wallen, Elena Weber, and Alyssa Weber; sister, Janet Wilson of Gravois Mills, MO; and dear nieces and nephews. Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois and from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 at First United Presbyterian Church, Belleville, IL.

Services: Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., December 8, 2017 at First United Presbyterian Church in the chapel with Pastor Rob Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at Green Mount Protestant Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.

Received word today of the passing of classmate Keith Geissert on  Monday, October 16th. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday with a funeral service at 7:00PM at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville. Internment will be private. Our sincere condolences go out to all of Keith’s family and friends.

John Welle 1947-2017

We have received word of the passing of classmate John J. Welle. John died Monday, July 24th. Arrangements are being handled by Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, with visitation and memorial service scheduled for Saturday July 29th from 2:00 until 4:00 PM. His full obituary can be seen on our “deceased” page.

Our condolences and sincere sympathy go out to John’s family and friends during this period of loss.

Johnson – Claus Wedding
