Another classmate has left us. Susan Dollins Astrauskas passed away on November 23rd, 2016, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Visitation will be held at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, November 28th, and a separate visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 29th, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville.

Loraine Smith, mother of classmate and Senior Class President Paul Smith, passed away on November 17th, 2016 in Tullahoma, Tennessee, at the age of 98 years. Many will remember her as the lady behind the counter at the Ostle Drug Store Soda Fountain. Our condolences and sympathy are extended to all of her family and friends. We received word of Larry’s passing late. His services were held Monday, October 17th at Herr Funeral Home. Our sincere condolences and sympathy are extended to Larry’s family and friends in this time of loss.

Lynn Ackerman Granger passed away at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones. Lynn lost her valiant battle against Leukemia.
Visitation will be from 10:00 through 2:00 on Friday, September 16th, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Mehlville, Missouri. The family will hold a celebration of life after the visitation at the Collinsville American Legion from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Friday.

John M. O’Donnell, 68, of Collinsville, Ill., born Aug. 20, 1947, in East St. Louis, Ill., died June 7, 2016, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Mr. O’Donnell was former owner of My Old School. He was also a bus driver and belonged to the Glen Carbon Laborer’s Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard J. and Helen, nee Komeshak, O’Donnell.
Surviving are his brother, James (Janet) O’Donnell of Collinsville, Ill.; and his sister, Judith Askew of Collinsville, Ill.

Linda Lou Beard, nee Armstrong, 68, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sept. 14, 1947, in Cheyenne, Wyo., passed away Monday, June 6, 2016, at her residence.
Linda was retired from AAIC in Collinsville, Ill., where she had been employed for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard F. Beard; her parents, Carl H. and Mary Lou, nee Shaw, Armstrong; and a brother, Jerry Lee Armstrong.
Surviving are her daughter, Tamara L. (Michael) Bruhn of Bunker Hill, Ill.; grandchildren, Megan K. Rowden of Aviston, Ill., Kyle W. Perkins of Troy, Ill., Cory J. Perkins and Autumn D. Perkins of Bunker Hill, Ill.; great-grandsons, Kayden M. and Kolby W. Rowden of Aviston, Ill.; a great-granddaughter, Aubree A. Perkins of Troy, Ill.; a sister, Mary Ann (Chris) Simon of Collinsville, Ill.; nephews, Jerry and John Simon; and her special friend, Joseph Krypciak.
